Hello, I'm Kristen, a freelance Artist, Illustrator and Graphic designer from the interior of British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley, now living internationally in Idaho USA. I specialize in contemporary/abstract, Fine Art and mixed media illustrations and paintings as well as branding design, digital art and creative graphic design.
My painting and illustration work aims to capture and evoke the essence of movement, fluidity, empowerment, inner calm and the play between the duality in shadow & light in a combination of highly detailed illustrations and simplistic brush strokes with flowing abstract shapes. With over nineteen years' experience working as a professional Graphic Designer, I specialize in branding design, illustration, custom graphics, fabric & pattern design, pre-press print, visual website design and digital design. A little about me: I reside in Idaho USA surrounded by lakes and mountains with my beautiful little family (Husband & step-daughter). We enjoy spending time outdoors and with friends and family, we also enjoy hosting dinner parties and social events to bring good people together. In my spare time I am passionate about painting and creating both digital & hand drawn artwork. Also, I love to learn anyway I can, by reading books, taking online classes and joining discussions. I worked in the wine industry for over 6 years and absolutely love the community and working on wine label designs. I have lived in 3 different provinces and now live internationally; BC, MB, AB and Idaho USA. I am obsessed with anything spicy and have a world class hot sauce collection. |
