Hello, I'm Kristen, a freelance Artist, Illustrator and Graphic designer from the interior of British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley, now living internationally in Idaho USA. I specialize in contemporary/abstract, Fine Art and mixed media illustrations and paintings as well as branding design, digital art and creative graphic design.
My painting and illustration work aims to capture and evoke the essence of movement, fluidity, empowerment, inner calm and the play between the duality in shadow & light in a combination of highly detailed illustrations and simplistic brush strokes with flowing abstract shapes. With over twenty years' experience working as a professional Graphic Designer, I specialize in branding design, illustration, custom graphics, fabric & pattern design, pre-press print, visual website design and digital design. My work includes clients such as Best Version Media, Custom Health, Herbal Essences, National Geographic, Quails' Gate Winery, Gypsy Soul Designs, Shakti Jewelery, Canadian Vintners Association, Ballet Kelowna, and many more awesome clients throughout North America and the world. I just want to create beautiful things - let me create something beautiful for you. A little about me: I reside in Idaho USA surrounded by lakes and mountains with my beautiful little family (Husband & step-daughter) 2 dogs & our cat. We enjoy spending time outdoors and with friends and family, we also enjoy hosting dinner parties and social events to bring good people together. In my spare time I am passionate about painting and creating both digital & hand drawn artwork. Also, I love to learn anyway I can, by reading books, taking online classes and joining discussions.
